Jed Brophy est un comédien australien né en 1963. Il mesure 1 mètre 73.
Jed Brophy décroche son premier rôle en 1991 dans le film Shark in the Park.
On l'a revu depuis dans King Kong (2005), Le seigneur des anneaux - Les deux tours (2002) et District 9 (2009).
Jed Brophy est le père du comédien Sadwyn Brophy qui a joué notamment dans Le seigneur des anneaux - Le retour du roi.
En 2011 Jed Brophy retrouve son réalisateur fétiche Peter Jackson avec Bilbo le hobbit.
